    Ugh!

I have a brand new Win10 notebook here and it has that "Trusted Platform Module" also. I was hoping to destroy that in a clean install of 10, but it sure looks like hardware that requires a driver.

Does anyone know what the thing does?
It's a separate chip mostly used for encryption/security. Bitlocker would use it.

    Thanks for the info Derek.
It looks like it uses a Microsoft driver so it should not be a problem with a clean install.
I also have a setting to turn off TPM in UEFI BIOS if I wanted to.
