SSD missing on warm boot (can't start Windows)
My PC has two disks - an SSD for the C: drive, and a SATA for data. I applied the August 2015 patches for Win 7 Home Premium tonight, and my PC began the restart process but did not complete. Instead I got the "Reboot and Select Proper Boot device" message. I read the tips on Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times and had an interesting discovery:
When I cold boot, my SSD and SATA drives are listed in the BIOS boot order options screen
When I warm boot, only the SATA drive is listed in the BIOS boot order options screen. I can go into the Hard Drive section of the BIOS and change it, but still can't start Windows.
Looking at diskpart from a cold boot shows the proper partition is active.
Any ideas? This one is throwing me for a curve.
