Here is what happened since the last time we corresponded:
After having the OS re-installed and the computer set back to factory defaults,, last night I tried to do a restore using the Macrium Boot Disk to boot, followed the directions on restoring using the image backup on a external HD, took 7 hours to do the install, and at the end of it, the screen showed the following:
WINDOWS BOOT MANAGER
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and click "next"
3. Click "repair your computer"
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
Status: 0xc0000225
Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is unaccessible.
I could not boot into Windows as I don't have the disc. I tried to boot into the Macrium Recovery Disc, as that is the only disc I had, and no luck. Don't know what to do at this time, other than take it back to Fry's and have them erase the HD or re-format it and re-install Windows to factory, and try to manually install all of the programs.
Any ideas ?
