Windows slow shutting down-restart after installing HP drivers.

    Hi,
I have an issue with my Windows 7 x64 Pro installation.
After I installed the HP LaserJet Professional CM1415fn drivers the pc became very slow at restarting or shutting down. The problem is printer related because I found a temporary workaround by stopping the spooler service and then the restart-shut down speed is normal again.
The printer is connected by ethernet and maybe this is the problem? I haven't tried with USB connection but I prefer not because it will mess up the printer devices.
If there is another permanent solution please tell me.
    Thanks

Unfortunately it doesn't work. I reduced the delay from 12 to 2 sec but nothing changed.

Can you check if spooler service is consuming CPU constantly during normal use (nothing printer related being done)?

    Hi,
no the spooler service does not consuming CPU constantly, it works like it should except when I shut down the pc.
This happens to 2 pc's so i am sure that the delay is from the spooler service because before i install the printer both pc's shut down very quickly.

If it is happening on 2 PCs, then it must be something with the printer software/driver. If it has some software that runs at startup - try disabling it in msconfig.
