DVD drive doesn't show up

    flaggoz, just because the drive spins up when a disc is inserted has nothing to do with your PC recognizing the drive. The drive is not communicating with your MOBO at this time, but the drives internal electronics seem to be functioning. Definitely time to unplug and reconnect the drive at both the drive and the MOBO.

    P.S. Use an anti-static wrist band to chassis cable to prevent static damage to your computer.

    Welp, I'm not capable of doing that. I guess I'll have to let it get repaired. The thread can be locked now. Thanks for everybody who tried to help me.
