Can I turn off the hard drive warning?

Win7 is sending me a lot of warning messages that tell me my new Samsung drive (HD103SJ) is about to fail. I checked the drive with DickCheckup and it didn't report any problems. That utility records data every 10 minutes. I assume that Win7 is getting something from the SMART output and flagging it, but my guess is that the drive is okay as indicated by DiskCheckup. So, I would like to turn off the annoying messages. Is there any way to do that?

FWIW, I have made multiple images of the OS (resides on the Samsung drive) and use the rest of the drive only for backups. If it dies, I can recover.

Thank you. I downloaded the Samsung diagnostic tool. When I ran it an error message appeared saying that it was incompatible with a 64-bit system. I also tried to find a way to either e-mail or talk to a customer support person, but it looks like the only option is to ask for an RMA. Naturally I don't want to return the drive and be down until I can get a new one, unless it is actually defective.

I think you want a different version, an .iso, which you can use to create a CD.

I haven't verified that the CD created from the image is bootable, but it would make very little sense if it wasn't.

Boot from the CD. I believe that the utility will autorun. It wouldn't use your operating system at all.

Alternately, you could download and install Crystal Disk Info (freeware). I use it under Win7 X64. It uses SMART information to report on the health of drives.
