Bluetooth Audio Input Device Mic Volume won't stay where I set it.
Hello there,
I have a bluetooth headset I bought to use with Comcast Softphone VOIP software on my computer. I got bluetooth to pair and connect fine. However everyone says it sounds like I'm in a factory. I'm in an office where typing and the printer are the loudest things near me!
So the mic is way to high. I went to "Manage Audio Devices" and went to recording tab, then double clicked my "Bluetooth Audio Input Device". Once there I wen to the "Levels" tab and changed teh volume to 12. That was the sweetspot that the person on the call said they can hear me well and not a lot of background noise. But as I continue talking the volume keeps jumping up and ends up around 30-50. Which then everyone says the factory sounds are back!
How do I get this volume to lock? It stays at 12 when I'm not on a call using the mic, but then I make a call, use the mic and it jumps up again. I have to keep muting my headset while on a call!
Can anyone help me troubleshoot this? I also did the microphone setup and that didn't help any. I went to "Setup a Microphone Wizard" and used Headset Microphone and spoke the sample sentence to set it up. When doing that I watch the input volume go to 18. Then I make a test call and it jumps back up to 30! WHYYYYY!?!?!? I already returned one headset thinking it was shoddy. But got a Plantronics one (highest rated on Amazon) and it is the same case!
Thanks in advance for your help.
