USB 3.0 stick wont work in 3.0 port

    hi

I've been having some USB issues on my computer today but ever since I built it and purchased a USB 3.0 stick, it only works in USB 2.0 ports? I got the stick from ebuyer years ago now - also it used to copy large files at 15MB/s in USB 2.0 as did a USB 2.0 stick I have

today I had a BSOD and WhosCrashed read the memory dump (which is now gone) and it said it was kernelbase.sys and I can only find info on kernelbase.dll, all my USB ports would only work foor the key/mouse combo and my phone, 3 USB stick and a HDD i have would not work and showed up in dev manager with code 39.

so, ive restored the computer back 3 days and uninstalled loads of stuff including BitDefender as I only installed this the other day and Unity & few other things Ive installed in last few days - now it seems to be able to work again but like I say the USB 3 stick doesnt work in the Blue USB 3 ports, its a gigabyte H77-D3H rev 1.0 and doesnt say which USB3 driver to install but the Intel one doesnt work and the Etron one does, but still no joy on the USB 3.0 stick

ive done SFC /SCANNOW and nothing was found

    has anyone got any advice

edit: I have since rebooted the machine and it said your device did not install (USB) even though they work still as mentioned above....now code 28 on this one

    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E31&SUBSYS_50071458&REV_04
