Mobo SSD Support?

My GigaByte Mobo (see system spec) was purchased in 2010. I'm considering buying an SSD for the system and I want to be sure my hardware supports it using AHCI mode. When AHCI is enabled I see the following verbiage displayed during the hardware boot cycle before the OS begins to load:
Serial ATA AHCI BIOS, Version iSrc 1.20E
Copyright (c) 2003-2008 Intel Corporation
** This version supports only Hard Disk and CDROM drives **
The part that worries me is the last sentence where it says "...supports only Hard Disk and CDROM drives"
Does this mean the mobo does not support an SSD?

Thanks Lava King. This is the information I was looking for! Here's another question for you:
When I boot in AHCI mode in Win7 the Bios takes 20 or 30 seconds longer to go thru its cycle before loading the OS. it spends this extra time at the end of the hardware boot displaying a message something like "loading operating system.........." but the disk light is off so i really think its still in hardware boot. Do you experience this with your mobo? it seems very strange because one of the positives about AHCI is supposed to be faster boot times but for me its slower. If you experience this, have you found any way around the prolonged boot times in AHCI??
