    I forgot to mention:

In post #1 screen print it looks like there might be a lighted (blue) intake fan in front of the HD cage.
Also it looks like you have room to add a PCI or PCIE x1 sound card, if you find one that supports Stereo Mix and your PSU can handle that additional load !

You already have 2 physical hard drives installed.
I think someone put the 500 GB HD in the cage for the front panel 5.25 drives..
500GB one is external. it sits in a bay on top of the tower

I just wanted to point out that I had one in the same place and it became a headache because the dust would get trapped inside the case in front of the HD cage. I eventually took mine out. You need to be sure and clean there very often.

There is no intake fan. I think the blue light you see is the power switch. See under medion logo http://aldi.medion.com/md8341/_img/a...en/view_02.jpg

Ok, that explains those 2 "questions".
I can't look at your PC, so i can only guess and ask questions from what i see in your screen prints and posts.

To me it seems like you need to figure out how HD1 is installed and do whatever you can to mount a HD2 similarly.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays :)

OK i took out the disk. There is room for one more hard drive. There is a lot of dust, including under the fan What is the best way to remove dust. I want to clean out the dust when i am putting in the new drive.
Someone asked about the funnel taking air out through a vent in the case. It is fitted properly, just a bit of a funny angle. I am not sure of a couple things - see the pic

Thanks for your help guys . Happy new year to you all

For removing dust, I use aerosol air-duster. Note - they're not compressed air, but hydrocarbons so should be used in ventillated area. Also use upright, or will squirt liquid. About £3 UK/can from Amazon etc.

    Pic 3 is SATA power.

Middle picture: that's a jumper block. It's highly unlikely you need to pay any attention to it. The default status would be with no jumpers attached to any of those 8 pins and that should be fine. Look at your PC manual for the odd situation where you might have to use a jumper. A jumper would have to fit down over 2 of those 8 pins, so you'd have to locate a jumper if you needed to use one, but that's unlikely.

How to physically install, set jumper settings, and set up a Serial ATA, EIDE, or SSD drive in Windows | WD Support

Right picture: that looks like a standard SATA power connector, not the older PATA/EIDE. Does it have 15 copper contacts on it?
