    Hi April,

I got mine from Aldi. Perhaps it was a price-cutting exercise to cut the amount of RAM to hit a price-point or something.

They had the dedicated drive at the time on sale alongside the PC. I passed it up thinking 1gb of storage would last a lifetime! Wrong!

My box was fitted with a WD drive too. I don't know why they stuck a Seagate in when I returned it to Germany under warranty.
About 4-5 weeks ago, everything crashed after a Win 10 update and the only way to get any life into it was continually hard-booting until I could get to the Safe Mode menu. I re-installed Win7, but the HDD took a battering with result being a pile of bad sectors. A disc scan showed the damage to be physical, so no chance of a repair.

My Nvidia GPU card is a g210. When I went in to swap the HDD it was covered in black soot which I realise now is coming straight from the PSU fan. I gave it a good clean and its as quiet as a mouse now. Still limited on what it will do though. Perhaps replacing that should be on my list of 'to do's' at some point.
