Serious hard drive problem

    I've encountered another problem. For some reason photorec won't let me navigate to the base directory, where I want to select my external hard drive as the storage for the recovered files. I've tried the left arrow button and double dots, which let me navigate there when I used it on my other laptops. It's the same with both the integrated knoppix version, and the newest version I downloaded off the site. What gives?

    This I believe should help you. Create a folder named Recovery in your destination drive where you want to copy the files and navigate to that drive and the Recovery folder.

    Copying files listed by TestDisk during Recovery (The basics applies to PhotoRec too)
