I have the old HDD installed and all I put on it originally were the libraries and other various programs b/c I used the SSD for Windows 7. Do you want me to install it where I now have the SSD? Would it boot from it if there's no operating system on it? Thanks!

No, it won't boot. I thought you had Win 7 on it. -- You would want your SSD in since it has Win 7 on it. On your boot order in BIOS, you want to have your DVD/CD as your first boot and the Win 7 SSD as your second boot. == Have you tried booting since you got into BIOS. Maybe something changed. Give it a try and tell us EXACTLY what is happening, screen by screen when you try to boot. What is the screen that stops you from getting Win 7 started.

I finally figured it out. All I had to do was take the battery out of the mother board for about a minute, replace and boot computer. BIOS came up as it should have. What a pain these things can be when troubleshooting and then end up being something so simple.

This thread can be closed. I need to post my recent dilemma as a new topic. Thanks everyone!!!

Resetting your bios to default as per your motherboard manual instructions should of done the same thing if done correctly.
