Win 7 clean install not working. PC stuck on setup is starting

My laptop will not load, I have even tried to use the win 7 setup disc. Nothing is working and my screen is stuck on the blue setup is starting screen. It does not give me the agreement screen. I switched to make my cd/DVD rom load first still not loading. I tried safe mode and that doesn't go through either. My system does not pass the Short DST mode either

If you have another DVD, try to load it and see how far you get. Let us know, but try to remember how far you got into the DVD before it froze.

So I tried a different recovery disc - I actually brought a new one and that still didn't help. It still gets hung up at the blue flower screen. I tried to upload a pic of it but that doesn't work. The quick test gives me something like a 303 code

According to the link below, Error Code 303 is a failing hard drive. That would make sense with the problems you are having.

I would suggest you go to Newegg.com (my favorite). Since you have to buy a new one, get a Solid State Drive (SSD). They will make your PC a lot faster. Programs will load in one second and your PC will boot in about 30 seconds. I have three OCZ disks and they are good. Here are some to look at depending on what size you need. ocz 240 gb ssd - Newegg.com Since you just purchased a Win 7 disk, you are good to go there. You can use the Product Key from your PC to activate. The Product Key will be on the sticker that is probably on your battery. Better yet, since you bought a Win 7 disk, there should have been one with that, so use that Product Key to activate. Installing on a SSD is just like with a regular hard drive. Here is a tutorial to help with the install Clean Install Windows 7 If you have any questions, let us know.
