Is this the way you are trying to get to Disk Management?

    Start Orb
Right tick on Computer and select Manage then select Disk Management which is under Storage

Well we are gaining on it.
It would be helpful if you went back over the tutorial again so we could have a picture like mine with out the side panels. The side panels cover up to much information.

Is the picture above with or with out your external hard drive hooked up?

Diskmgmt.msc should of got you to the same place. I just wanted to do it the long way to see if you could get there.

Are you using the 12v power connection on your external drive. (WD Element 10B8)?

Don't forget to answer the other questions.

Try this. Shut down computer. Hook up external hard drive and then Start the computer and see how things look.

How many usb ports does your laptop have and what are they 2.0 or 3.0?

Well now that is strange. I can understand not seeing the external drive but I don't understand not seeing any drives.

Is that the exact same way it acted on the other computer?

Once again. Are you using the 12 volt connection on your external drive??
