    Motherboard issues

Have a asus P9X79LE motherboard thats ticking me off. USB mouse and keyboard keep getting kicked off and on. Asus told me to go into power settings, advanced, and change USB settings so it won't sleep. Did that prior to contacting asus and didn't work. Was also told to reset cmos. Did that along with removing battery. Lasted about a day before it started up again. Any ideas on fixing this? Don't have the cash for another board.

Smells like a weak capacitor on your board.

Are you using USB 2.0 or 3.0 to plug you mouse and keyboard into?

Do you have your USB ports in the bios set to Legacy.

Have both USB 2 and 3. Asus wants me to RMA it since killing the cmos/removing the battery didn't do it. I did try setting to legacy before doing a reinstall. Didn't help. Haven't tried since reinstalling. Its not as bad since doing the cmos but still happens. Will probably buy another board so I am not without my gaming rig. Should have went with the gigabyte board I considered but got this one a bit cheaper. Thanks for the help.

Try swapping you power supply with other PC won't hurt.
    See if it works?
Under voltage could be the issue maybe.
