    Printer driver won't install

Brand new system up and running. MOBO is GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-UD5. Trying to install the drivers for my printer HP 309g-m but I'm getting an error about USB drivers not being installed. Installed the MOBO installation disk which installed USB drivers. See attachment. Thanks.

    Hi Bonkers,
    Shoot into
Device manager, look for Problem devices or anything with ! on it or a down arrow.
Note it might be that you may have only loaded the USB2 drivers from the motherboard CD, you need the USB3 ones as well.(Blue internal ports on comp, try a USB2 port)

One of the first places I checked was Device M. No "!" problems at all. Everything looks good. Tried every USB port I have. Front, back, blue, red, etc. All the same results.

Have you installed the printer software. Most printers require software to work. As your printer is a HP you may be able to download the necessary software from them.

The printer software comes with the necessary drivers for it.

    Hi Bonkers,
Just been lookin at GBytes FAQ, looks like they got some USB probs with this board, suggest you speak to HP they might allready be looking at this.

Yea......I'm currently dealing with this issue on HP'S forums. We'll see what they can come up with.
