Broken laptop charger?
Basically what's happened is this: Recently I got the "warn me if my battery needs replacing" message on Windows, so I ordered a new one which arrived today, then I fitted it (pre-charged to 75%) and it worked perfectly.
Next I plugged in my current charger only to find that just like my previous battery, no charge is being received, and I don't mean the "plugged in, not charging" message, but rather it just simply doesn't work.
Seems like the charger is defective, but what are the odds that both the charger and the battery would fail at the same time? I've tried multiple fuses in the plug but none of them make a difference, so it's likely not the fuse either...
Hopefully it's just the charger and I can go and order a new one. If that doesn't work I'll dismantle the laptop and make sure the connection from the charging port to the motherboard is working/and is not damaged. After that, I have no clue what could be going on; the battery is fine as is the laptop itself, it just won't charge.
With all that said could someone shed some light onto what may have happened here? I'm getting the feeling that my old battery likely works fine (unless the defective charger damaged it somehow).
