    OS not seeing removable drives

I've just switch over from fresh install of W10 that was supposed to be my daily driver, back to W7 and because I didn't made image CD's of W7 like moran that I am, now I have to set it up all over again. I thought I've done it like I did before wiping my SSD and switching to W10 but it turns out that I haven't because this time my OS does not recognize any removable drives like Thumb drives, ext HDD's or my phone. I beat that it has something to do with driver for the chipset on my motherboard. Which is amd 9 series. But the case is that I did install it. I went to manufacturer's web site, dl appropriate driver(mb_driver_chipset_amd9series_win) and rune it. For a minute it worked as I could see any ext drive I hooked up to my PC, but that was till reboot. When I switch my PC off for the night and started it up today, first I was greeted by the message that displays before windows starts to load up saying that system is checking integrity of the files on disk c. I saw it deleted some entries and windows started. Since then OS is unable to detect any ext drives.
What's going on here? Why is this happening and what I did wrong this time?

Just installed the driver again but nothing. It's important to me as I do connect my phone to my PC very often. Before I've try W10 my phone was seen by the system as separate removable device but now whenever I plug it in it doesn't show up in Windows explorer, it doesn't show up as some USB device plugged in in Device manager, I even don't see it in Disk management.
    What's up with this??!
