    Old software left over

I have old software left over on my system from my other motherboard such as VIA Audio, NEC Electronics (USB Host Controller). My new motherboard is the ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z and I have installed it's chipset drivers/software, audio and USB drivers. Should I remove the old drivers from the old board like the NEC USB Host Controller and VIA audio drivers? The V Formula-Z has Realtek audio drivers (And my Realtek sounds RUBBISH compared to the VIA/Creative SoundBlaster).

    Please advise?

Hi in my opinion you should of reinstalled the OS after a motherboard swap. You would not have these problems.

Thank you for your response and your opinion is highly appreciated. If I had reinstalled the OS my sound/audio quality would still be a downgrade from my old board as this new one doesn't support Creative SoundBlaster on-board. I need to purchase a SoundBlaster sound card.

All seems fine though which is good. I went ahead and removed every trace of the old motherboard drivers (chipset, audio, USB controller, Ethernet controller, etc) and installed freshly the new board drivers.
