usb memory stick repair
i have a 256g memory stick that windows cant format. it gets a quarter of the way through then stops saying it cant format it. it then disconnects from the computer. ive tried chip genius to find out info of the stick and get the following
vid = 048D pid = 1234 vendor = general name = udisk revision = 0100 any help appreciated |

Could you post a website showing your 256 GB flash stick?

Take a read here. If your flash drive is working properly these should work for a format.

"i have a 256g memory stick that windows cant format" This is a bland statement devoid of any crucial information.. Mention the make/manufacturer and model No. Should that be difficult?
When, from where and what price did you buy it?( Note: There are three-in-one for you to answer. :)) Does it have a manufacturer's warranty or you simply bought it since the large 256GB came at an unbelievably low price on the footpath? ( One or one. :)) All this info is necessary to know whether you had bought a fake drive. You used Chip Genius. Possible to save to a memory card rather than a memory stick ? Completely new to this so apologies if barking up the wrong tree .... ! Rather than buying a 32 gb memory stick to upload some important jpg pictures into for safety's sake, I'm wondering if it's possible to upload and store them in a spare and unused 32gb memory card that I've got lying around... |

Memory Stick vs Modem Hi!! I am new to 7Forum and very happy to have joined... I have a weird problem - when my modem is connected and internet running, I cannot connect a Flash drive/ Memory stick to a USB - Windows then disconnects my modem?? BSOD with memory stick more often than not when i plug a memory stick in i get the BSOD crash memory dump then restarts, if i leave the stick in pc boots up fine and i can access the stick. this has happend with corsair and freecom sticks and with several different micro sd cards with several different card readers so... |
