Run this program ( WinDirStat - Windows Directory Statistics ). It will tell you exactly what`s on your HDD. Depending on how you did the reinstall, you might also have a windows.old folder which is huge and should be deleted. Additionally, with such a big drive, you also have a very large shadowstorage (up to 15% of your C drive). You can check that if you go into elevated Command Prompt and type vssadmin list shadowstorage

looks like temp files from some video editing... the program you use may just not have deleted them for some reason.

Check the path to those files and then check you editing software to see where it stores its temp files.

if they match, you now know where the files coming from.

Suggest you open the folders and see what´s in it. If you don`t need that any more, just delete it.

Hard drive doesn't go to sleep
I set the hard drive to stop spinning after 4 hours of idle activity but it doesn't ever go to sleep. If I set the time interval to < 1 hour like 45 min then it will go to sleep. I'm not talking about the computer going to sleep/hibernating, I mean the spinning of the hard drive.
