Is there any reason you can't use the old case?

That's a micro ATX motherboard and would fit in hundreds of cases--any that are "ATX" or "micro ATX".

Since there are hundreds that will work, you need to shop on the basis of features or price or looks or whatever other criteria you might have.

because it uses a 9 pin block for the power button (hp a6244n) and i don't own a soldering kit

I had my eye on this one, and it's on sale. The one thing I didn't like, there are no USB 3 ports.

I find case choice a bit of luck but a bit of homework is needed. Thinks to check:
    1) Make sure any planned after market CPU cooler fits the case
    2) Supplied fans. For me I want them quiet
    3) Case allows good air flow and more fans if needed. I don't like really small cases.
    4) number of 3.5, 2.5" drive slots to meet your future needs
    5) front panel connectors (USB, Audio...)
    6) Support for neat cable management
    7) PSU fit - best to check
    8) I like a more solid case that doesn't use too thin metal
    9) download the mounting points for the case motherboard and just make sure they match

A lot of other stuff comes down to looks that suit you and price.

    It wouldn't matter. The OP's MOBO doesn't have a USB 3.0 header.

i bought the rosewill fbm for 30$ it looks like it'll work but that will be decided when its all together can't wait to get it going. the whole problem was my pc case/mobo, the mobo was not using all of the ram i have, i bought the wrong cpu then got an ok cpu (was only 10$),the power button wires being wrong, and fixing some minor issues the old case has.
