well another thing so i took off the intel heatsink and the other one i have with the bracket a capacitor on the board is blocking it from being able to screw on

if you mean the same cpu socket then yea the e6700 was from the previous board if you look at the first page you'll see the hp desk top i had the heat sink comes from that pc
might just be stuck with the intel one
I would think they both should fit on either board unless the HP board is some proprietary board. But, you may be right if that is the case.
Alright so I got windows installed put on the intel heat sink it was sitting at 41 degrees and one thing I'd like to figure out when I plug in the power cable the pc turns on without using the power button then shuts off

Also I installed the rest of the hard wear and heard a single beep a moment after I turned it on then beeped again when I get to this screen
By the way I get that screen every time I turn it on
Try going into BIOS and setting Optimized Defaults Check what your board calls it. Some call it Optimized defaults and some just defaults. Save and Exit. It is usually F5 on most boards I have used.
Check your power button and make sure it is not stuck or something. I can think of no other reason it would start up on its own. Also check and make certain the power button connection to the motherboard is on the correct pins.
