Found some things when running CHKDSK...Can somebody take a look?

My computer's performance has been deteriorating. When I had to shut down improperly before, it scheduled an automatic CHKDSK. Here's the logs from event viewer. I would appreciate it if someone could take a look and tell me what, if anything, is wrong. I'm having trouble deciphering it myself

    Thanks

    Code:
    Checking file system on C:
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Volume label is Windows 7.

One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. You
may cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended
    that you continue.
Windows will now check the disk.

The key words in all that were "cross linked files".
That's BAD. I've not seen that in many years, on really OLD hard drives.
It's been many years now, since I've even run Chkdsk.

I've never found a sure fire way to UN-Cross files that have become Cross Linked.
My own solution is to do a Restore of my C: drive to an earlier time.
That's why I keep Backups of my C: drive, going back several months.

    Good Luck!

How bad is it? Something along the lines as my computer is inevitably going to fail? A hard drive-crash or something?

    Actually taking a detailed look,
Checkdsk deleted and repaired a lot of those files.

run sfc /scannow followed by chckdsk again.

Thank you for your input...TechnoMage2016 made it sound a bit bleak. Or maybe I'm just being paranoid
