Question on setting up a linksys e1200 router?

Question on setting up a linksys e1200 router?

My questions is how to setup without using a Ethernet cable. It suppose to be wifi. I basically want it for my wireless printer. That what I want to set up. I got this at a sale, so it doesn't mater if it works or not.

With the router plugged in and turned on, do you see an SSID for the router listed in a wifi capable machine? If so, according to the info at this link: Linksys Official Support - Linksys Site USA, the default IP address for the router is 192.168.1.1. The default username and password is “admin”. If you can't connect to the router's login page using that IP address then someone may have changed the default IP address. In that case, or if you don't see a SSID being broadcasted, you'll need to press and hold the Reset button located at the bottom panel for about five (5) seconds then release in order to reset the router to the factory default settings.

Thank you, that helped but I did had to do another factory reset after login on to 192.168.1.1 do to the network was in a different name. I was also able to setup the printer but it took some work.

Now, I may try it later with my internet connection. That I will have to read up on. I want to do it correctly.
