Guys please help me to fix my hard disk WD elements 1TB

I have tried so many ways to fix it.. but I got nothing in 4 days!!

    I have tried from command prompt " chkdsk /f /r "
the first time I tried it works, but something error occured, and now I can't using that method..
when I tried to using that, just show " cann't open volume for direct access"

my hard disk didn't appear on my computer list, but I can reject it.

and anyway I have tried to using minitool partition wizard, but you all can see that my hdd didn't appear with the volume.. just show up disk 2 with 0.00 GB

Anyone can help me to solving this problem ?

btw, My english isn't good enough..but I hope all of you can understand what I mean :)

    Thanks before.!

Sorry to say your WD Elements is dead and you have tried everything. There is nothing left for me to do, honestly. I would have done the same thing before declaring it dead.. No DIY data recovery is possible. The only option open to you is to entrust it to Western Digital Data Recovery partners in your region. Check with them whether there is any hope of recovering data in good shape.Telephonic consultation is free.

HI JUmanji thanks for the answer..
but I have done nothing.. I never tried mini tool.. coz the hard disk can't show the quota of my HD, that just show 0.0 GB.. and I can't do anything with that.. maybe You know the another ways for that issue?

If my WD is dead.. why I still can reject it on my computer? and why when I see the properties, that just show my WD is okay..

I really need my photo back..
may you have another ways to get back my file? I don't care about the HD, I just concern my data.

    OK. Try this.

Download install and run Getdataback Simple with only your faulty external drive connected. . Please read all the documentation on how to use it.

    https://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-software.htm

It is a highly acclaimed data recovery program. As soon as it runs it will start searching for your drives and show you the drives found. Sure, it will show your System drive. Does it show your external drive also?

If it shows your external drive, click on it and it will scan and show all your files.

    Does it, in your case?

The apps can't find my external HD..

How about if I format my External HD and use getdataback to get my file back. but it's guarantee that my file will be back?
and how to format my HD, coz my HD don't ask me to format again..

btw, my external HD appears in disk drives.. that it's mean my HD is okay? and now I use my office computer, that never install my HD .. and it works, the HD is just installed but still not appears anywhere .__.

I think the problem is just about the partion on the HD that can't be find..?

    Do you see the problem?

When a data recovery program cannot find the drive, how can you recover the data?

Ok, try to format the drive. To format the drive, you must initialise the drive first.

In Windows Disk Management disk map, where it says not initialised, Rightclick on the disk icon with the Red arrow and try to initialise it as MBR. ( If initialisation goes through, stop with that initialisation and don't proceed further to create a new simple volume)

Report if you are able to initialise. If you get an error message, take a screenshot and post.

Earlier on your elements drive did show up with a drive letter F and you ran check disk. Checkdisk was overwhelmed by more bad sectors than it could handle on your drive and aborted. (You should have noted down the exact error message it threw while it aborted.)

Now with all this data, contact any of the Western Digital Data recovery partners in your region. I think they have a toll-free telephone number. Discuss your problem and check whether whatever good data is left can be recovered and whether it is worth the fee they demand.. ( All data on the bad sectors is already lost.) As I said this telephonic consultation is free. Other Professional agencies may also do the job. Search and enquire.

I have heard about this situation by my friend who faced this a year before. Trust me it very complicated, software didn’t work for him as well. Try to recover it by professionals as this is the only way you can get rid of it. This had worked for my friend. Try it.
