Windows 7: Persistent Bluetooth Errors - OBEX Server & others stop working

Persistent Bluetooth Errors - OBEX Server & others stop working

I recently upgraded my HTPC with a new motherboard, processor and RAM. Essentially, a new build.

From day 1 with the new build, I've been having issues. According to the Reliability Monitor, my various Bluetooth services have stopped working no fewer than 9 times in the last 10 days.

The messages typically apply to:

Bluetooth Device Monitor
Bluetooth OBEX Service
Bluetooth Media Service

Several times, I've come home to a system that has recovered from a crash. I tried disabling and even uninstalling the Bluetooth hardware, but it seems to reinstall itself on every boot!

I'm not currently using the bluetooth radio to connect to anything.

Any advice for how to determine if this is a hardware or a software issue?

My motherboard is the Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI (rev. 1.0). I'm running Windows 7 x64 Pro.

Hello randalotto mate I am assuming you mean you are uninstalling Blu tooth drivers? as the device on the board cannot be uninstalled unless I am terribly wrong.

These are the drivers you need if you haven't got them already GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1151 - GA-H170N-WIFI (rev. 1.0)

Shame you are having such problems cos that looks like a nice board.

Yes, I meant uninstalling the drivers. (Right-click in device manager, select "Uninstall".) I've also tried disabling the bluetooth through device manager, but it still crashed.

Those are the drivers I installed originally.

How about trying to uninstall the drivers through the Control Panel or Revo Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems and I am assuming the drivers were for Windows 7 64bit and the right language ?? - not that I am doubting they were but just making sure.

Now I have found myself in the past that it does take a few tries at getting the tings to work and even getting a new say mouse for example - the el cheapo ones seem to work better than the higher priced Logitec and Microsoft ones.
On the other hand it could be worst scenario the board
