Windows 7 not detecting display resolution

I have a Toshiba LED TV that I use as a secondary display. Up until today, it worked fine at 1920x1080. Now for some reason Windows is detecting it as a generic UPNP display and it it only let's me set it up to 1600x900. I have tried installing updates and drivers, but I cannot fix it. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

What graphics card are you using? Nvidia or ATI/AMD based?

If either of these the resolution is controled by that software not Windows.

For Nvidia right click an open area of the desktop then click Nvidia control panel. Then click Change resolution in menu on left side.

For ATI/AMD right click an open area and click ATI Catalyst I beleive it is called. I have Nvidia so a bit unsure on the name of the ATI.
Click to open and the resolution is listed somewhere I'm not sure of the exact listing.

Never mind, I solved the problem. I used the Windows key + P and switched it to computer only, then configured the display to work again on 1920x1080.

    Hi

I wonder if anyone can help out what seems the problem. Windows does not recognize NVIDIA Quadro NVS 420 and I cannot see it in the device manager under display adapters. The card used to work before I reinstalled Windows.
    Thanks
