    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
On a laptop when keys stop working even after a restart is usually not repairable outside of replacing the keypad.
You can always clean it..... and see if it helps.

If using win-10 and this is when it stopped working we might be able to say it's not compatible but not 100% sure it would do any better on win-7... without reinstalling the original os to see.

A keyboard driver is pretty basic so the os shouldn't make all that much of a difference.

I would attach an external keyboard and see what happens.

It can be a hardware or software problem.
    It's probably a hardware problem.
As mentioned by Itaregit, attach an external keyboard and see what happens.

Since you done some troubleshooting yourself.
Hence, i would say it is under the keyboard issue.

Maybe i can answer later, as i would be meeting a laptop repair person, taking 10 days to fix my laptop.
Or if you know someone ever done this, s/he can direct you on how.
Repair staff at my shopping mall are plenty.
Seeing them how the remove the keyboard really fast.

    Hi
My repairman said it is due to keyboard hardware issue.
You need to visit IT repair shop to do it for you.

??? Sounds like your repairman is just fishing for money.

As the OP stated, this is his PC keyboard that is failing. The first thing to do is try a different keyboard to see if the problem continues. You don't need to take it to a shop to do that.

Read what the OP says not what ThrashZone says.

He used his laptop to post here.
