Can't Get 2 Wired 360 Controllers To Work Together (*EDITED*)

Hi, I hope you're all well?

I'm hoping somebody has a solution for me. I have 2 Xbox 360 Compatible Controllers, an Afterglow and a Rock Candy one, but I can't get them to work together. This is what is displayed in my Devices and Printers window, with the Rock Candy highlighted so you can see it's detected but has an alert next to Troubleshoot.

My first controller is fine, it has the Player 1 Indicator lit up, the 2nd is just flashing in the circle. They both work individually but I would like them both to work at the same time. The whole reason for me buying the 2nd controller was for me to be able to do some gaming with my son, so if anybody has any input on how to get them to work, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time

Kind regards

PhantomTa2

*EDIT* OK, so after fiddling around for ages, it seemingly now works fine, the 2nd player light is lit and everything is fine. This is after just unplugging and then plugging it back in and, Boom!, it now works......Despite me trying the exact same thing for the last hour and 10 minutes. Weird
