When I insert memory card the laptop will freeze until I remove it

    Hello

These few days I am experiencing problems regarding either the memory card or laptop. Whenever I insert the memory card (Sandisk) first thing when the laptop turns it, It will either freeze the laptop until I remove it and 2-3 instances the laptop made a buzz noise and freeze hence I had to do a hard shut down.

I am getting loads of event error 15

The device, \device\Scsi\JMCR1, is not ready for access yet.

Open device manager to see if there is no problematic driver.
Some antivirus blocks the access to removable devices to scan them.
Is your antivirus up to date?

Have you tried another memory card? If another one works OK, then the one you are having problems with has probably gone bad on you and needs replacing. It's not unusual for cards and USB sticks to go bad.

I checked device manager and no problems at all, My anti-virus is not up to date but I have been using the same version for months with no problems

Yes I thought it was the card reader but after trying different card I guess it was the culprit and seems like I bought a fake memory card (Sandisk) from fleeebay

I bought some patriot thumb drives which did the exact same thing, computer froze. Brand new. Took 'em out to the garage (concrete floor!), took a 6 lb hammer & made them as flat as I could, then tossed 'em in the trash. Problem solved, no more patriot products for me. No help from patroit site, , ,

I'm being flip, but sometimes, ya know, , , ,

(edit - thumbs would not work on multiple computers, , , ,)
