Bluetooth Keyboard will connect but not type

    Hey guys,
I am still setting up my computer and I inserted the usb bluetooth adapter and paired it with my keyboard. It shows that it is pairing, configuring, and properly configured (supposedly). But when I to to type with it nothing shows up. It didn't come with any software and the drivers appear to have installed correctly as far as I can tell. I have never used bluetooth with windows 7 before; can someone help me out?

After installing the keyboard did you reboot? Most keyboards will work quite well with the Windows 7 drivers.

You are having keyboard problems but yet you don't give us a clue what keyboard.

What do you mean by keyboard adapter?

Sorry. It's a Zagg slimbook detachable keyboard that I originally bought for android but have been assured by the manufacturer it's compatible with windows. And worked with windows 10. I am pretty sure I rebooted but just to be safe I will try again when I get home. As for the adapter, it's just an external Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the from USB port of my tower and blinks. Worked with the same keyboard on windows 10. It's generic so I don't have any documentation or anything. Also works fine with my mouse. Not sure how to tell more about it. Where do I look?

Any chance there is a key stuck in the down position? Have you tried the keyboard and dongle on another device (known working) to ensure the combo still works?

The only information I can find on that keyboard mentions nothing about Windows. Do you have an exact model number?

I have had similar issues (connects but keystrokes don't register) with my BT keyboard. A fresh set of batteries took care of it.
