My seagate Backup+ Desk USB Device fell about a foot while in use

Under Device manager, I can see the disk drive, working properly

Under Disk Management, it shows 3.86 GB unallocated on a 1T disk drive. . .

In Administrative events I have an Event 1 VDS Basic Provider error (listed 4 times)

    Unexpected failure. Error code: D@01010004

did I just lose my entire backup drive? (I am asking from a hopium stand point!)

Is there anything which anyone knows which might be able to get my backup drive back?

    I am not optimistic

A HDD that had a fall isn't very promising.
Is the 3.86 GB unallocated on a 1T disk drive on another partition?
Is your disk a Legacy - MBR or a UEFI - GPT?

Don't try to fix it. Ask Jumanji for help. He is the disk guru. https://www.sevenforums.com/members/jumanji.html

Please open Disk Manager, expand the columns and take a snapshot and post here as an attachment.

Get another backup into gear as soon as possible; your present backup drive may [or hopefully may not] have been compromised. I think the best thing to do is make brand new full images of your OS partition and your data partition onto a new backup drive. Then, do whatever the hard-drive fixit gurus recommend to thoroughly test and either pass or fail your first backup drive [the one that was accidentally dropped].
