Cannot install window 7 because of 0.0MB unallocated disk space
Hello.
My friend has a Lenovo G480 laptop.
She tried installing windows 7 on it, but for some reasons it couldn't detect any drives, so I installed a storage driver. After the installation finished, it shows Disk 1 Unallocated Space with Total Size of 0.0MB.
Here are all the steps I've done:
1. Boot laptop up with Window 7 Disc
2. Follow the installation steps to the "Where do you want to install Windows?" screen with no drive
3. Did a little Googling, went to BIOS and changed SATA controller method from Compatible to AHCI
4. Redid step 1 and 2, no good
5. Did more Googling, downloaded a storage driver from this site: Download AHCI: Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology Driver for Intel(R) NUC
6. Unzipped content, put them in a USB
7. Redid step 1 and 2 with the USB plugged in
8. Load driver, scanned USB, then installed the only compatible driver for it
9. After installation finished, showed "Where do you want to install Windows?" screen with Disk 1 Unallocated Space with Total Size of 0.0MB
And sorry about there's no images. Can't upload them for some reasons.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
