Toshiba C870-15n turns off without bsod

    Hello guys,

I was been away for a long time and now I'm again here!

    What's up?

I have problem with Toshiba Sattelite c870-15n.

First time when I opened laptop and cleaned the fans I got problem with shutting down after pressing some key on keyboard. Example I press very slowly any random letter or number or character and laptop just turns off like I unplugged battery and power cable after that laptop in 1 second booting again and turning on.

I tried same day to hit same button on keyboard and three times laptop turned off and again booted, 4th time I pressed same key and every key on keyboard nothing's happened.

I tested it for two days and rule is after some hours or minutes of work one key turning off the laptop.

I buyed new keyboard for my Toshiba and problem dissapeared for 2 days. After two days I worked normally on laptop and now WITHOUT pressing any key laptop turns off. Okay! I botted again laptop and it worked fine for next 2 days and today again BOOM! Turn off and booting again.

I saw strange things like when I leave laptop on sleep mode they turning on byself! I just hear fan noise when Im sleeping. I ignored that but maybe is connected with this problem.

Temperatures are perfect! BSOD doest not exist! minidump files are clear! I scanned PC for viruses and malwares.

One more thing! Maybe it can be important! My battery have warning 'consider replacing'.

I tested battery with some tools and battery is very damaged! But Im using 70% of time cable plugged!

What can be the problem here?! Motherboard, some part on motherboard like HD, CPU, GPU or ? :)

What I need to do? How to test? Can battery cause this problem!

    Again to repeat problem:
Laptop turns off without any error or blue screen! BlueScreen are enabled and logs are sticked in settings! There is no any logs! Just like my laptop power source is not connected! Fan stop on second with working and in next second laptop boot by self and turning on!

With old keyboard (maybe is accidentialy, maybe not) I had problems every half of hour now pc turning off one time per day or one time per two days.

I must tell one maybe important thing!

I CAN't remember that laptop turned off before I opened laptop! Everything is corectly backed in laptop I just cleared fans!

I tried to 'kick' over laptop to test if laptop will turn off! No! :)

Last 4 days 2 turns off!

When I had old keyboard in day restarted 10 times!

    Thanks again in advanced!

    - When you open the laptop to clean the heat sink, did you removed it from the CPU?
    - Laptop keyboard connects to the MB by a flat cable. Did you inserted the flat cable all the way and then locked it with the locking device?
    - I had once an old laptop that the keyboard communication device had a problem. Try to pull out the flat cable from the socket and use an external USB keyboard to see if the problem remains.
