    Bluetooth disabled after sleep mode

    Hello !

I face an issue with my laptop which is on Windows 7 64 bits :
I installed a working driver for my integrated bluetooth but whenever I go into sleep mode, when I turn back on the laptop, Bluetooth is disabled (no more Bluetooth icon in the system tray, no more Bluetooth device in the Devices Manager...).

I tried to uninstall/install the drivers but that doesn't worked. After searching on internet I didn't find anything successful. That's why im asking you if you have any ideas..

    Thanks !

Hello and welcome Dahi now mate one thing we do need are your system specs as it is hard to advise when we do not know what we are dealing with so please follow this System Info - See Your System Specs if you see Point 5(D) it makes seeing the specs an easy and quick look.

Now without knowing too what you are trying to hook up via Blu tooth again very hard to say where the problem is. But as a starting point please run these the malware stuff just a precautionary measure.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2 (if you are going to use the /r switch there is no need for the /f switch)
Run these in safe mode and the sfc often best run for two to three runs – you can leave out the /r switch in ckdsk if you feel it not necessary

    if no fix then these

SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
    Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes Premium
    AdwCleaner Download
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If you are running Kaspersky as the main AV then it might need disabling it when trying ADW because it does not like it at times)

The other thing I find handy is to have the Blu tooth icon showing on my task bars to do that open up the notifications panel > Customise > and mark the Blu tooth to show Notifications and icon see my pic
It makes seeing what is happening with the Blu tooth stuff.

    Hello !

    Thank you for the answer.
Normally my system specs should be visible (if it worked). I did the chkdisk and sfc scan but that doesn't changed anything. I also tried to search for a malware but everything seems to be ok.

It's really strange, I never faced an issue like that before. It's not only the notification tray icon that disapear, the whole bluetooth get desactived and in the device manager there is no more bluetooth device after coming back from sleep mode.

Now I always clean or wipe the drive before I clean install to make sure no remnants of the original install are left behind? Just how did you go about the install?

The other thing is have you tried the update for the network card from Acer? Download Drivers and Manuals | Acer Official Site
Can you do that from your end because the Acer site is always hard to get stuff off with the machine number see this
