Some of the buttons on my Windows Media Center remote stopped working

    Running Windows 7 Ultimate

Certain buttons on my remote (volume, play, ff, arrow back, and others - mainly the ones that control videos) have stopped working. Other buttons work fine.

As a possible solution, I tried uninstalling the driver for the "Microsoft eHome Infrared Receiver" by uninstalling in Device Manager, unplugging the receiver from its USB port, rebooting the computer, re-inserting the receiver into a different USB port, and having it re-install the driver. This does nothing to solve the problem.

Nevermind. I found the solution in the meantime. I turned on "human Interface Device Access" and now it works fine.
