Explorer shows 3 drive letters for same USB?

Note that this ONLY occurs in Explorer. Diskpart and Disk Management list the original drive letter for the USB, and nothing else, so I cannot get rid of the extra drive letters via those utilities. How do I get rid of the extra drive letters that Explorer is showing? This is really annoying me!

Explorer shows 3 drive letters for same USB

Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry if I did not make my original question clear.

Firstly, the USB drive is not partitioned. Secondly, as I said, Diskpart and Disk Management correctly show just one drive letter (G) assigned to this USB.

My problem is specific to Explorer. Explorer lists this USB with multiple drive letters (G:, H:, M). And, whichever of those drive letters I select in Explorer, I can read the contents of the USB. What I want to do is remove the extraneous drive letters (H:, M) from Explorer so that this USB drive letter accords with the original drive letter (G), as shown in Diskpart and Disk Management.

    Many thanks for help.

LayBackBear, is it possible that a couple of Windows and/or 3rd party programs have by themselves assigned that usb device drive letters H and M?

I do appreciate your effort to assist. However, I am well aware how to access, and analyse, the results of Diskpart and Disk Management. I'd already done that (more than once), and drives H and M are not visible in either. I was hoping for a more relevant response to my problem, which only manifests itself in Explorer.

Thank you for your insight: "is it possible that a couple of Windows and/or 3rd party programs have by themselves assigned that usb device drive letters H and M?"

That may indeed be the problem. But have you any suggestions as to how might I track/reverse whatever it was?

drive letter assignment utility - Google Search

DriveLetterChanger or DriveLetterViewer just might be what you need; haven't vetted or tried either one of those, yet.
