Can't use a mouse with Dell Latitude E6230, or anything in a USB port.

Just got this used laptop and when I plug in a mouse to a USB port, nothing happens. The touch pad works fine and the mouse is fine in another computer. Actually don't get anything when I plug any device into a USB. Usually I see, "new device detected" on other computers when I plug something in. What can I check to fix this? In Device Manager under Mice and other pointing devices there is just, Dell Touchpad. Do I actually have to install a mouse? And how, if the USB port won't detect it. Thanks

This is what is under USB controllers if that helps.

I would say that the USB is damaged.
Normally USB has a fuse on the +5V line for all USB ports. If you blow the fuse, all USB ports wont work.
When you insert the mouse do you see the red led light?

If you mean under the mouse, no.

Sad to say, but I think that changing the fuse will be very difficult or even impossible.

It's under warranty but will have to try and transfer the warranty to me first.
