Sandisk cruzer blade 64GB not detected in my computer

    Hello everyone! :)

I just bought a new sandisk cruzer blade 64bit, it worked fine and the win 7 detected it, and I wanted to format it to NTFS, but I couldn't, so I formated it into Fat32, because it was on exFat, and then I converted from Fat32 to NTFS by using "Mini partition wizard" .. and I copied important files on it...

Now the problem is that the files disappeared and the size used on the usd is still there, but I can't read the files anymore, so I made a chedisk on the usb, and then I couldn't see it in my computer, whenver I plug the usb in, It's not detected anymore, I can't access it, I can't see it in computer management., I can only see it in device manager, and when I click on it in the device manager it says the device is working properly, ... don't know what to do to rescue my files, I really need help!

    Thanks in advance!

Where was the sandisk cruzer (64G?) bought? There are many fake drives around the corner.

Amen to that. I have bought a couple of the same flash drives. I always test new drives (especially large capacity) to make sure they are actually what they say. I received a fake one once, data kept disappearing.

Thanks alot for the quick reply!

I bought it very cheap from around the corners...I hope it's not fake, because I used it with Fat32 and it was running well... it only happened when I formatted it to NTFS..

I also googled the same problem, and many people suffered from the same issue...

The Problem still there.., don't know what to do!

I just found out in the device manager that under "portable devices" there is this "WPD Filesystem volume driver" with yellow mark on it , it appears when ever I plug the USB...

Any idea what might be the problem ?

That puts the last nail on the coffin.

When will anyone ever learn "you only get what you paid for and you never get what you haven't paid for!!"

You have to find the driver for the WPD Filesystem volume driver. Right click on it and search for the driver.

Great chances that you've a fake USB drive.
