Well. don't know if youve gone for the day but here is the progress report. Could not put PC1 ram into PC2 with its existing ram stick. Would have had to do a major PC dismantling to get the two sticks in side by side, Sooo took out the PC2 2G stick and put into PC2 the PC1 4G stick. so I have Pc sitting all alone without any ram.

WOW instant perky fast snappy PC2 What would have taken like 1+ minute opening a folder is now done in a flash so fast ya can hardly see it. So it was the ram. Now gotta shop for another 4G ram. got some interchange info from crucial chat, so maybe that will lead me to the right ram on ebay or amazon. have a good nite bud. Sure appreciate your kind help. search on "sx2855 ub12p 2x4gb", $48.50 on amazon, but verify that the sx2855 -ub12p is your computer. it will be labelled somewhere on the machine, or you can look it up online. Another option is to get ram not specific to your machine, as its likely that anything described as "ddr3 1333mhz 2x4gb desktop" will work. maybe someone else here knows a site that assures compatibility at a good price for memory.

    PC2

    SERIAL NUMBER: PTGCFP2008202029959600

UB12P was just a guess on my part, not knowing your hard drive size. The UB10P and UB12P are the same machine and take the same memory, but one has a 250GB hard drive and the other has 500GB.

Well somehow lost my last post. So again... Wound up buying the 4G ram stick from Wallmart via A-Tech who upon my phone request professionally gave me their exact search words to enter. all others were higher than W.M. so they got the order. A-Tech also delivers to your doorstep free, so pretty good deal and about $10 less than crucial (not considering freight). I really really do appreciate your kind, professional help on this.Hope you enjoy your new rep I sent. Jim
