I bought this pc as a refurbished one with a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro and 3 months guarantee from a local computer repair man.

I would suggest going back to your computer store and explain your problem.

Thankyou both.
I am loathe to go back to the guy that sold me this pc as it isn't performing badly in any way except it won't do a backup to E.
I set Tweaking.com to schedule a back-up to E and that seems to have no problems.
Really appreciate your help and guidance.
