BitLocker Drive Encryption - Unable to read the external HDD

Hi Experts,

I am hoping someone would be able to help me out, here.

Yesterday, I was trying to encrypt my external HDD (WD Elements Portable), using BitLocker. However, in the middle, it stopped and then onwards, my computer is not detecting the HDD, anymore.

Please refer to the "Disk Management.JPG". The Disk 1 is my external HDD, and is in uninitialized state. I don't want want to initialize it; since it has lot of information.
Please refer to the "My Computer.JPG". My laptop is not detecting the external HDD. I have tried connecting the HDD to other laptops, tried using different cables. But none of them worked.

Can someone please help me on what should I do? Please note that this HDD was partially encrypted using BitLocker (almost 80%), and then the HDD got disconnected and since then the problem.
