Win 7 can't find my external BD/DVD drive

    Hi guys.
So a couple month ago i bought a ASUS BD/DVD drive and it worked great at my Win 7 HTPC. I've used it several times and i've never had any problems with it.

Think it's like 4-5 weeks since i even tested it, but now all the sudden Windows can't find it.
My first thought was -it's broken. But when tested on my laptop and gaming machine it does work and again, no problems with it at all.

*I can hear that typical USB sound when plugged in or out on the HTPC, but nothing change in the device manager, and there's no new hardware if a make a manual search.
*I can find the drive in the bios and it's listed as one of the boot device.

I found a earlier thread here on the forum where some guys solved their problem with a change in the regedit, but that did not work for me.

Nothing is changed on the HTPC, nothing i know about anyway "Windows update", as it just sitting there as a HTPC :)

Open device manager and look for a missing driver.
Open disk management and see if it is shown.

Do a system file check. Run sfc /scannow.
