DVDRW not found after new HW install

    All,
This is primarily going to be a post about confirming how to proceed... I just want to make sure I am going about this correctly.

I recently installed a NVidia GTX 1050Ti 4mg board (love it!!!) and all has been working well until I just noticed that my Optiarc 7260s DVDRW is no longer being seen by my system. It is no longer functional and SPECCY does not see it in a system scan. Also, Device Manager does not list it. My first inclination was that my driver had gone poof but prior to downloading and installing a new driver I am going to check the connections as I might have knocked something loose when installed the 1050. So my course of action will be:

    1. Open case and check all connectors. Once checked, test for operation.
    2. If (1) does not solve the problem, download an updated driver, install, and test for operation.
    3. Once connectors are checked and drivers downloaded, if still no DVD operation, get a new DVDRW?

Sorry for being so verbose but I want to make sure I cover everything before I open the case and perhaps buy new hardware I do not need.

All feedback and suggestions welcomed!! Thanks!

Probably a cable, either the Power or SATA data cable has been inadvertently disconnected either on the rear of the drive or the other end - power at power supply, SATA cable at the motherboard connection.

There are no drivers for CD/DVD drives except the default built in Windows/Microsoft driver. There is no need to check for a driver. Fix the (most likely) cable problem and you will be OK.

Tnx, I'll open the case tomorrow and check it out. It will have separate power and logic connex, or just one? (I guess it doesn't matter.. anything loose or unconnected off the unit I will reconnect anyway.)
    Thanks again for the feedback.

I should also note that the tray still opens and closes, and the busy light lights up.

As suspected! When I installed the 1050Ti I also installed one of those open/closeable shelves that goes into an open 5.25" bay. When I slid the shelf in it knocked off the logic connector to the CDRW. Connected it back up and all is well! Thanks Fireberd for the feedback! I will mark this one as solved. (Wish they were all this easy!!)
