Don't try to fix it.
Post a whole image of disk management. Expand the columns so we can read them.

Glad to know you were able to sort out the problem.

After seeing the screenshot of WDM, I was wondering what could be the problem, for everything appeared to be OK..I was just mulling over what further investigations should be done to find out the root cause of the problem. Was it a bitlocker encryption problem or was it a permission problem or something else??

Please let us know how you solved the problem. We are also learning from user experiences and that should help us resolve similar problems. ( Or else I would think that mere presence of jumanji resolves the user problems )

OK, fine and thanks for reporting.

I have also seen many you tube videos on how to add authenticated users to the list and give full permission to resolve the ''access denied" problem. I would have redirected you to one such youtube video after ascertaining from you that you are not using bitlocker encryption on the external drive. I even started writing a post but had to put it off due to other pressing demands on my time. The first thing I wanted to check was that the volume had not become "RAW" and it was not RAW.

Before I could check on further, you seem to have googled and found about adding authenticated users. Well done. ( You didn't need a Sherlock Holmes with Dr. Watson ( Megahertz07) in tow. )

Enjoy.
