Cant transfer files to external devices

    Cant transfer files to external devices


    One day i tried to put my files on a usb but i Got a message that Windows Explorer stopped working and is restarting. Now i cant transfer anything out of the laptop.
    It's Acer Aspire 5810t
    What should i try?

    Does this happen to you only on one USB or on all the External Hard Drives?

    Have you tried to restart the machine and see if that helps ?

    Are the devices OK on another PC? I would run chkdsk on c in case explorer is corrupted. Have you tried all USB ports?

    Do you "unmount" your external drive before unplugging it, or do you just unplug it?
