Laptop Fan Problem

Hi,
I have a Toshiba L50-A-104. And i think i have a problem with the fan. When i am on charge it works, when i am on battery it dont. All the interior is clean and thermal paste is new. The both (battery and on charge) advanced battery/ processor colling management definitions are set to Active.
For the record, when on charge the fan maintains the cpu temperatures at 30-40 celsius but when on battery it comes up to 60+ celsius. What could it be?

Cheers

Set your power settings to "performance" rather than "power saving". If necessary, go through your power settings thoroughly and make sure that there isn't a power-saving setting which turns the fan off to conserve battery power.

Also, maybe your fan is getting worn out or dirty and therefore drawing too much power. Perhaps it needs cleaning or replacing.

Hi,
