    Plan to install a 500g SSD drive


    I have a 111g SSD drive for my Cdrive and it was somewhat complicated back in the day when I built this setting up the bit locker. Do I have to do the same thing to use this 500g SSD as a drive for processing videos?

    It's probably already formatted. If you're going to use it as a secondary drive, then all you need to do is install TRIM on it, and make sure that it is working correctly. TRIM will prolong the life of your SSD.

I have been having a hell of a time with this new computer build. Reinstalled pro tools after finally getting everything running smoothly again and now my HDD crashed it is only showing 100mb and is a westerd digital caviar black 500g hd...any ideas?
Ok heres the setup: OS: 80g HDD Media: 500g HDD New Media HDD: 2T So this is what I want to do, move my entire media HDD to the new 2T HDD. Then I want to move the entire OS HDD to the 500g old media HDD.
